Ouch!

My poor husband got the tip of his finger taken off when our 14 year old daughter closed her bedroom door on it. We spent about 3 hours in the emergency room to get it fixed. Thank God that my husband had me look for the tip and we brought it with us. They sewed it back on, but it will probably just scab over and eventually fall off. Unfortunately, he will not be able to type for a while, and he is a computer programmer. He also drives an manual transmission, and won't be able to drive that for a while. I'm going to see about getting a ride with one of my coworkers for a while so he can try our Aztek because it is automatic.
We both kept hoping that this was just a bad dream...But it wasn't.

Men sure do love their cars.

My wedding gift to my new husband is a 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT. He had a Fiero before, but this is the GT....A real Sports Car. We traded the van I was driving for this car from a friend of his. This friend & his wife just found out that she is pregnant again, with twins. They already have twin boys and so there family will become 6 in less than a year. They really needed to get a van to hold all the kids.
This friend already has a Fiero, the Indy Fiero, and just wanted the challenge of getting this one started.
I knew that my husband would spend time on the car, but that doesn't bother me, because I help him a little bit with it. He just can't stop smiling about that car and looks for any excuse to drive it. Men sure love their cars!

All in one day, I'm a Mom and a Grandma

I got married on June 24th. Now I'm not only a Mom, but I'm also a Grandma.
My wedding was a nice ceremony, but it didn't go as planned. But I was still happy with it.
